The Water of Life

With over 8 billion people on Earth,
there are 8 billion unique journeys
and yet, all paths lead back to the same eternal question:
What is the purpose of life?

Each of us is here to learn how to love and to be loved.
The experiences and challenges we encounter
are part of what I call the “Riddle of Life.”

Your life’s purpose is not something outside you to be found;
it is something within you to be remembered.

Some call it a “calling.”
“This is what you’re here to do.”

It’s a deep inner knowing,
like hearing a forgotten melody and instantly recognizing it as your own.

Purpose isn't measured by reach.
it’s measured by authenticity.
Whether your impact creates ripples or waves,
what matters is how you show up:
with love, with joy, and with trust in your creative power.

You are the creator and not the victim of your destiny.
Life will teach you either way:
through empowerment or disempowerment.
The choice is yours.

Bruce Lee once said, “Be water, my friend.”
Many take this to mean, “go with the flow.”
But we’ve often misinterpreted that wisdom.

Going with the flow does not mean being passive
like a leaf drifting wherever the current takes it,
getting stuck between two rocks and calling it fate.

You are not the leaf. You are the water.
Water carves canyons, nourishes forests, wears down stone,
and adapts to any container.

Water finds a way.
It doesn’t resist obstacles.
It moves through them.
And it keeps flowing.

To live your awakened purpose,
flow like water.
Be the stream that nourishes,
the river that carries,
the wave that reshapes.

When resistance comes,
meet it with flexibility.
Choose movement over stagnation.

Your power lies not in how forceful your flow is,
but in your ability to continue.

In the words of the Tao Te Ching:

“Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water.
Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible, nothing can surpass it.”

Your path may look different from others. It should.
Because each stream finds its own rhythm.
Your job isn’t to mimic someone else’s river.
It’s to trust your own flow.

Whether you’re creating a tidal wave or gliding as a gentle stream,
flow in a way that lights up your soul.

That is your riddle.
That is your answer.

And that… is the water of life.
With purpose and light,
Ryion P.
